Description
To the north of the waterside visitors will be able to see the Sabana-Camagüey keys (commercially known as Jardines del Rey) with an interesting vegetation of dunes, subcoastal semideciduos forests, groves, mangroves, as well as sandy and rocky coasts.

The dunes of Cayo Guillermo are particularly notable, since they reach up to 15 meters high. These coasts present the Yuraguano of the coasts and an avifauna that is abundant in aquatic and land species that are very interesting, such as Zunzún (Chlorostibon ricordii).

Laguna de la Leche, close to the city of Morón, is a unique place because of the beauty of its bottoms. It is linked to the sea through an artificial channel and it contains an abundant fauna.

Sierra de Cubitas has notable cannons and coves that divide them, generally very deep and transversally most of the times. Because of the limestone structure and the complex process of dissolution on these rocks, the presence of caves is outstanding. Some of them are very extensive and present paleontologic remains, divers and beautiful secondary formations that are also interesting from the archeological point of view because of the presence in them of aboriginal paintings.

There are here particularly interesting deposits of silicon fossil woods and some geographical incidents like Paso de los Paredones, the hill of Tuabaquey, Los Cangilones del Río Máximo and the Hole of Bonet.

To the south of the region, the virginal archipelago of Jardines del Rey has its main attraction in the abundance of Coral Reefs and untouched bottoms, as well as in the presence of valuable species for the practice of sports fishing.
