Cuba Wins Junior Wrestling Competition

Havana.- Cuba won the Junior International Wrestling Competition Ismaelillo, held in Havana.

According to organizers, wrestlers from the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Cuba took part in the competition.

The Cuban team won a total of 60 medals: 26 were gold, 22 second places, and 12 bronze medals.

Dominican Republic was runner-up with 1-3-8, followed by Honduras (1-0-2), Guatemala (0-3-7) and Mexico with a bronze medal.

Specialists acknowledged the technical level shown by the Cuban wrestlers who will represent the country at the Junior Wrestling Olympiad to be held in Cuba.
