Roads Repaired in Central Cuba |

Havana.- The repair of roads in the central area of the island is included among the efforts made by Cuban authorities to improve passenger and cargo transportation in the country.
In this sense, it is important to mention the investment, close to six million pesos, made to repair the road Manaca-Guinia; a 30 kilometer road through the mountainous region of Guamuhaya.
This road is of special tourist interest since it is frequently used by travelers to visit the facilities located in the Valle de los Ingenios (Valley of the Sugar Mills), and it is a shorter route between Sancti Spíritus and Villa Clara.
According to specialists, works will be concentrated on an 8-kilometer road stretch where drainage construction and ditch covering are foreseen.
Likewise, about 6,500 tons of hot asphaltic concrete must be used to build a lane to enable traffic increase and make the road more functional.
