Havana.- The province of Las Tunas, in the eastern area of the country, increased facilities to broaden cell phone services.
Specialists from the territory finished the installation of four new cell phone radio bases in order to broaden the range of this phone system.
The investment process allowed an increase of signal quality in the linking areas of Camagüey and Holguín, as well as in Puerto Padre, up in the north coast.
The current infrastructure guarantees an 80 percent cell phone coverage, with emphasis on the tourist area of Covarrubias.
Several locations have been fitted out for line activation, and sale of accessories and phone cards, among other services.
