Havana.- The Cuban health system is supported by an infrastructure of psychiatric care for children and young people that ensures the follow up of this age group in the island.
Nowadays, the country has about 200 health professionals who work with children and adolescents.
These services are available at the primary health care, taking into account the importance of taking medical actions since early ages in order to prevent major problems in adulthood.
Among the main disorders found in early ages are night terrors, as well as cases of depression, anxiety, hyperkinesis, learning disorders and mental retardation.
