New York.- The company Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide is preparing a broad expansion program in the Middle East and Northern Africa for the next five years.
According to the plan, the inclusion of 13,000 new rooms is expected by 2017, thus foreseeing an increase of 60 percent.
The company currently has 70 facilities and 40 developing projects, with emphasis on luxury and upper-luxury hotels.
In this sense, the firm will add two more hotels, the Sheraton Medina and the Four Points by Sheraton Medina, to the ten it already has in Saudi Arabia.
On the other hand, the company has signed contracts for four new facilities in Dubai in order to have 1,900 rooms available by 2017.
