Havana.- The Charles Chaplin movie theater, the venue for the Cinematheque of Cuba, will host the activities of the German Cinema Week with the presentation of six feature films.
According to organizers, the program includes films like Mahler on the Couch (Mahler auf der Couch, 2010), by Percy Adlon and Felix O. Adlon; a film which takes place in 1910.
Also included is the film Almanya-Welcome in Germany (2011), by Yasemin Samdereli; this film, prize winner for the best script at the German Film Awards, contributes to the current debate on German integration.
Another film that will be presented is Sleeping Sickness (2011), by Ulrich Köhler, a highly humanistic movie about two voluntary doctors who work in Cameroon.
The other films that complete the program are Poll (2010) and Soul Kitchen (2009), by Fatih Akin, winner of several awards; and The Song in Me, the first work of Florian Cossen.
