Havana.- Cuban craftsmanship stands out for its contribution to the national culture, including features that show a contemporary nature characterized by elements of urbanity.
Executives from the Cuban Association of Craftwork Artists (ACCA in Spanish) reminded that the institution currently includes more than 1,400 members; many of them are higher education graduates.
Precisely, the artists’ educational level is shown through different works that are widely accepted, both domestically and abroad.
Likewise, from January to June, ACCA has provided the possibility for about 180 artists to travel abroad as part of cultural exchanges and exhibitions in international fairs.
Also, Cuban craftsmanship has taken part in fairs in Mexico, like the ones held in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Nuevo León; as well as in the Canary Islands and France.
