Cuba to Evaluate Modifications of the Foreign Investment Law |

Havana.- The Cuban economy is evaluating options to modify the current law on foreign investments in order to support the participation of foreign capital in the island.
According to experts, the new legislation must be enacted before December 2012 in order to meet the requests made by businessmen who are interested in doing business with Cuba.
Also, an important effort is being made to prepare and update the portfolio of projects and businesses with foreign capital.
In this sense, authorities will support the participation of foreign capital to complement domestic investments, with emphasis on sectors which have been given priority.
These options will facilitate access to new technologies; and will contribute to finance and provide different markets, as well as to increase jobs in the domestic economy.
