Havana.- Cuba will participate in the Olympic Games in London aiming at improving the position won by the country in Beijing-2008.
Cuban teams have taken part in 18 Olympic events and have won 194 medals: 67 gold medals, 64 silver medals and 63 bronze ones.
It is important to emphasize that in Beijing the Cuban athletes won 24 medals (2-11-11) and finished in the 28th position of the medal table.
The Cuban delegation to the London games is composed of 110 athletes, in top physical conditions, who will compete in 14 disciplines and the age average is 25.9 years.
According to specialists, the best medal options are in combat sports and track and field, among others.
