Havana.- The central province of Cienfuegos has, in the wholesale pharmaceutical warehouse, a facility with all the necessary conditions for a timely response to medical emergencies.
According to specialists, the workers in the facility ensure the supply of medications in 12 hours if they have to be brought from another province and in four hours if the medications are in the territory.
Also, the institution has maintained a stable supply of medications to more than 80 drugstores, 20 policlinics and three hospitals.
Likewise, the personnel keep the quality of the medications and control the expiring dates of the pharmaceutical compounds which are in storage or are transported by the institution.
The pharmaceutical warehouses are included in the health care network and supply medications to drugstores and primary health care centers which, in turn, supply the medications required by the health system.
