Havana.- The Oil Drilling and Extraction Company (EPEP in Spanish), located in Majagua, stands out for its important contribution in the extraction of crude oil, which is regarded as the best in Cuba.
The company fulfilled its annual production plan, which represents a saving of about 14 million convertible pesos.
Likewise, the plant also exceeded the production of accompanying gas, the mercantile production and the sales; with a positive balance between average wage and productivity.
In addition, profits were about 6.5 million pesos.
The crude oil obtained from the four wells which EPEP operates is mainly destined to the production of lubricants, taking into account its characteristics as per density and sulfur content.
