Cuban Experts Carry Out Clinical Trials against Cancer |

Havana.- Experts in the central Cuban province of Villa Clara have vast experience in clinical trials against cancer.
According to experts, 70 such trials were carried out in the province in 2013, due to the high mortality rate as a result of neoplasias.
Research works focus on the treatment of lung, breast, head and neck, prostate, brain and digestive tract cancer, among other types.
The Celestino Hernández University Hospital is the Referral Center at the national level to carry out clinical trials in cancer immune therapy.
The first of such actions against lung cancer started in 2010 and involved 186 patients nationwide.
