Cuban Emblematic Museum Remodeled
Monday, September 15, 2014

Havana.- The Emilio Bacardí Museum, in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba, is undergoing remodeling works that must be concluded in mid 2015.

Founded 115 years ago, the institution is being remodeled, including carpentry works, to restore the eclectic building in which it is housed,.

According to experts, a new interior design will allow exhibiting valuable pieces that have not been on display before.

In addition, the Hall of Arts will be opened next year as an extension of the former Municipal House of Culture and the San Carlos Club before that.

The Museum's halls offer visitors the opportunity to learn about different periods in Cuba's history, as they exhibit original artifacts that belonged to the aborigines and from the period when the Spanish conquistadors arrived in Cuba.
