Pediatric Assistance in Villa Clara Highlighted |

Havana.- The central Cuban province of Villa Clara excels for the excellent medical assistance provided at the Children's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the José Luis Miranda Hospital.
The institution reports a survival rate of more than 94 percent, thanks to the work of experts who have received excellent scientific training.
In 2014, the ICU treated 266 children, 58 percent of whom were under one year of age and who mainly suffered from infections.
Others were treated for congenital malformations, multiple traumas and high-risk post-surgery observation in different medical specialties.
The ICU admits an average of 30-40 patients per month, so it has ten beds equipped with hi-tech mechanic ventilators.
