Honduran Airports to Activate Biometric Control
Monday, September 15, 2014

Tegucigalpa.- Four international airports in Honduras will install biometric systems to control passengers, whose fingerprints and photos will be taken.

The new method includes the implementation of a mechanism equipped with state-of-the-art technology that will guarantee better control of passengers.

The system will be installed in the airports of Toncontín (Tegucigalpa), Ramón Villeda Morales (San Pedro Sula), Golosón (La Ceiba) and Juan Manuel Gálvez (Roatán).

At the same time, a special force will be deployed to control the airports and guarantee better safety in the facilities.

The biometric control will be connected to the database of the US Department of Security, as well as the database on stolen passports.
