Monday, September 22, 2014

Havana.- Cuban specialized companies are preparing the equipment necessary for the upcoming sugarcane harvest, in order to guarantee the effectiveness of operations.

The company Planta Mecánica, in the central province of Villa Clara, is making some 2,000 parts for the sugar industry, including hammers, crowns and washers, in addition to some components for KTP and CLASS sugarcane harvesters.

At present, the company is prioritizing the orders from the sugar mills that will start up operations first, so the staff is working 24 hours.

Furthermore, they are also producing electrolytic cells for the Sagua la Grande-based company Electroquímica, as well as other parts for the iron and steel plants Antillana de Acero and Acinox Las Tunas.
