British Culture in Havana

Havana.- The Cuban capital will host the 3rd British Week this month, with events dealing with cinema, theater, history and music.

The program includes the screening of the feature-length film "The Invisible Woman" at the 23 y 12 movie theater, in the Havana sector of El Vedado, as well as the film "Philomena", directed by Stephen Frears and released in August 2013. The film won the award to the best script at the Venice Film Festival that year.

Another film to be shown in Havana is "The Selfish Giant", based on the short story by Oscar Wild and directed by Clio Barnard.

During the 3rd British Week in Havana, the documentaries "The Imposter" and "Dream of a Lifetime" directed by Bart Layton and Carol, respectively, will be screened as well.

The event will also include exhibitions, theater, lectures, history and music.
