Cuban Companies Win Quality Award |

Havana.- Cuba's 2013 National Quality Award was granted to two commercial and project-designing companies, so 13 Cuban firms have received such an acknowledgement since 1999.
On this occasion, the award was granted to the Camagüey-based Empresa Comercializadora de Combustibles (CUPET) and the Villa Clara-based Empresa de Proyectos de Arquitectura e Ingeniería (EMPROY VC).
Officials from the National Standardization Office noted that three companies were the finalists, being the other one the Holguín-based Empresa de Servicios Técnicos de Computación, Comunicaciones y Electrónica del Níquel.
Last year, the award went to Empresa de Diseño Ciudad Habana and the Holguín-based Empresa de Investigación y Proyectos Hidráulicos, as well as Asociación Económica Internacional Aguas Varadero, in Matanzas province.
In order to grant the award, the jury takes into consideration a series of aspects such as leadership, impact on society, management of human capital, market and clients' satisfaction, policy and strategy.
