Healthcare Infrastructure in Eastern Cuba Is Remodeled |

Havana.- The healthcare infrastructure in eastern Santiago de Cuba province is benefiting from a broad remodeling program.
According to local authorities, in Santiago de Cuba municipality alone, they are working on 21 projects, including pharmacies, rehabilitation halls and polyclinics.
Regarding the primary healthcare system, family doctor's offices have undergone remodeling works too.
Actions have also benefited hospitals, elderly and maternal homes, and elderly clubs, among other facilities.
Several medical facilities are in faraway mountainous zones, thus the importance of creating the conditions necessary to meet people's needs.
