Ediciones ICAIC Presents New Books in Havana
Monday, December 15, 2014

Havana.- The publishing house of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) presented three books linked to Latin America.

On the occasion of the 36th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, Ediciones ICAIC launched the book "Un Día de Octubre en Santiago" (An October Day in Santiago).

The book is about the life and work of Chilean fighter Miguel Enriquez.

The publishing house also presented "El Ocaso de Europa" (Europe's Twilight), a compilation of articles that Cuban author Alejo Carpentier wrote exclusively for the magazine Carteles.

In addition, Ediciones ICAIC launched "Cronología del Cine Cubano III" (Chronology of Cuban Cinema III), whose information covers more than 60 years of Cuban cinema. Volume III covers the period between 1945 and 1952.
