Havana Is among World's Seven Wonder Cities |

Havana.- The Cuban capital was included among the world's seven wonder cities, according to a voting organized by the Swiss foundation New7Wonders.
The list of finalist cities also included La Paz (Bolivia), Doha (Qatar), Durban (South Africa), Beirut (Lebanon), Vigan (Philippines) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
The voting started in 2012 with more than 1,200 nominees from approximately 220 countries. The 300 initial candidates were made public on December 7, 2013.
Later, the list of candidates was reduced to 28 cities and on October 7, 2014, the 14 finalists were presented to choose the world's seven wonder cities.
It was the third global voting organized by the Swiss foundation, as the first one was held in 2007 to choose the world's seven most amazing man-made structures and the second took place in 2011 to choose the world's seven natural wonders.
