Experts Predict Growth of World Hotel Sector

London.- The world's hotel sector is showing signs of growth with 7,919 establishments in the stage of project or under construction to build 1.3 million rooms.

Experts pointed out that of that number, nearly 3,400 projects totaling 412,000 rooms are being developed in the United States.

By destinations, New York tops the list with 27,900 rooms under contract and 13,200 under construction, followed by Houston, Las Vegas and Washington.

In the Asia-Pacific region, there are projects to build 2,390 hotels that will contribute 537,726 rooms, while 833 hotels will be constructed in Europe.

In the Middle East and Africa, 626 hotels will be built to contribute 146,753 rooms, being Dubai the destination with more projects.
