Documents of High Cultural and Historic Value Found
Monday, March 2, 2015

Havana.- The archive in the eastern Cuban province of Guantanamo incorporated documents of high cultural and historic value found during restoration works in a local building.

According to experts, work in a building resulted in finding accounting books and hundreds of commercial documents from the 19th century.

The remodeling is being done in a building that was part of the Brauet and Cia. storehouses in 1895, which belonged to the family of French origin who settled in Guantanamo.

The books, which have been labeled grade I, due to their high cultural and historic value, include a mathematics workbook from the 19th century with more than 100 pages of exercises and problems, the experts added.
