Cuban Movie Theaters to Be Restored |

Havana.- Officials from Cuba's film sector noted the efforts being made to recuperate the national network of movie theaters.
According to the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industry (ICAIC), works include remodeling the infrastructure and modernizing technology.
In that regard, two DCP (Digital Cinema Package) projectors were acquired and installed in the movie theaters Yara and Chaplin, in Havana. The technology will be available nationwide.
The objective is to recover the traditions linked to cinema, such photography for publicity boards and audiovisual promotion.
Cuba has implemented a multidisciplinary program to promote audiovisual culture through courses, workshops and local initiatives that involve schools and universities.
