Cuba Finishes Third at Women's Volleyball Pan-American Cup |

Havana.- The Cuban women's volleyball team in the under-18 category won the bronze medal at the 3rd Pan-American Cup of that sport.
The Cuban team defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 in the bronze-medal game and qualified for the world championship.
In the semifinals, the Cuban players lost their undefeated status to Argentina (1-3), which won the tournament.
Peru beat Mexico 3-2 and finished fifth, while Chile was in the seventh place, because Costa Rica (eighth) had to return home before the end of the cup.
At the first edition of the Pan-American Cup, held in Tijuana, Mexico, in 2011, Argentina won the title, followed by Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Brazil won the second edition in 2013.
