Telecommunications to Grow in Ciego de Avila |

Havana.- New investments will be made in the eastern Cuban province of Ciego de Avila to expand the telecommunications sector and increase land phone lines.
According to experts, the objective is to install 1,400 land lines in the residential sectors, so that there is one line per every 100 residents.
The lines will be installed in the city of Morón, as well as in the communities of Sanguily (Venezuela municipality), Colorado (Baraguá) and Turiguanó (Morón).
In addition, nearly 100 lines will be installed in the provincial capital.
Such plans are preceded by investments made last year in five municipalities, where 1,538 land lines were installed.
