Monday, April 20, 2015

Havana.- The Cuban pair of José Antonio Guerra and Jeinkler Aguirre won the bronze medal at the Diving Grand Prix of Gatineau (Canada), which was the third phase of the world circuit in that sport.

The Cuban duet scored 419.76 points in the synchronized platform event and was preceded by Canada's Vincent Riendeau-Philippe Gagne (426.66 points) and China's Huang Bowen-Anqi Wang (420.39), who won the gold and silver medals, respectively.

Guerra and Aguirre won the bronze medal in the last round of dives, with a 3.6-degree-difficulty routine that allowed them to score 90.72 points.

The Cuban pair has improved previous performances in each competition they have participated during the 2015 circuit.
