Cuba Invited to Caribbean Baseball Series |

Havana.- International baseball authorities ratified the invitation to Cuba to participate in the next edition of the Caribbean Baseball Series in the Dominican Republic.
Juan Francisco Puello, commissioner of the Caribbean Baseball Federation, noted the interest of the main winter leagues in the region to start a process to hire Cuban players.
Such an action will allow improving the quality of Caribbean tournaments, which is impossible to achieve at present due to the restrictions imposed on Cuba by the United States.
The participation of Cuban players in winter leagues in Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela is impossible as long as the measures related to the US blockade of Cuba continue in force.
Cuba participated in the two last Caribbean Baseball Series as a guest country, not as a full-fledge member of the organization.
