Orthopedic Accessory Made in Ciego de Avila

Havana.- Orthopedic and trauma services in the eastern Cuban province of Ciego de Avila are benefiting from the development of an accessory called Browne ferula, which is made locally.

The accessory, made by an artisan, is used to correct the position and mobility of the legs and allows greater possibilities of success in the cases of surgery to stretch the muscles.

According to experts, that accessory allows the correct position of the bones in cases of fracture, in addition to help in the post-operative process.

The metal Browne ferula are covered with gauze so that patients can rest their lower limbs on them comfortably.

The creator of this accessory pointed out that he analyzed the prototype in books and later he made it, adding that it can be produce in any province of the country.
