Brazilian Airline GOL to Increase Flights to Cuba
Monday, April 20, 2015

Havana.- The Brazilian airline GOL will operate three flights a week between Sao Paulo and Havana, after approval by the National Civil Aviation Agency in that South American country.

The measure, according to sources from the sector, responds to the need to meet the growing demand from travelers to Cuba.

It will be GOL's new destination in that region, where the Brazilian airline flies to Barbados, Aruba, Trinidad and Tobago, Punta Cana and Santo Domingo.

So far, only Copa Airlines and Cubana de Aviación flew to Cuba from Brazil. The former had a daily frequency and the latter once a week.

At present, GOL operates 13 routes in South America and leads the Brazilian market in terms of flights to the Caribbean.
