Investments Favor Cuban Group Gran Caribe
Monday, April 20, 2015

Havana.- The Cuban hotel chain Gran Caribe, one of the largest in the Caribbean island, is carrying out a broad program of investments to increase its accommodation capacity.

Among the group's plans is to recover the hotel infrastructure in the Cuban capital, especially the hotels Riviera and Habana Libre, where works are scheduled for completion next year.

Gran Caribe is also building the hotel Cinco Estrellas Pullman Cayo Coco, in Jardines del Rey (King's Gardens), which will be inaugurated in late 2015 and will be run by the French firm Accor.

In mid 2017, the group is expected to complete the construction of the new Hotel Internacional Varadero, which will offer 800 rooms and will be administered by the Spanish chain Meliá.

On Cayo Largo del Sur, Gran Caribe is about to complete the construction of 120 additional rooms at Villa Iguana, a complex that will also include 122 wooden cabanas and 70 conventional rooms.
