Cuban Baseball Players Train for International Events
Monday, May 18, 2015

Havana.- Cuba's national shortlisted baseball team started training in May to participate in major international events during the ongoing season.

Cuban experts pointed out that a team will travel to the United States on June 29 for a bilateral series against a university team.

Later, that team will participate in the Pan-American Games in Toronto, Canada, in July, while a second team will compete in the traditional tournament of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.

This year's international baseball schedule includes the Junior World Championship in August in Osaka, Japan, and the first edition of the Premier 12 in Taiwan and Japan.

In addition, more Cuban players are expected to be signed by foreign leagues, considering the interest expressed by Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
