Cuban Tourism Attracts Investors' Interest

Havana.- Cuba's tourism is attracting foreign investors who are interested in the country's natural attractions and the fast growth of the sector.

According to official statistics, 27 joint ventures operate in the tourism sector, 11 of which share 9 percent of the country's total accommodation capacity.

In addition, 73 management contracts to run 51.8 percent of the country's total hotel rooms and 86 percent of four- and five-star hotels were signed.

The tourism sector's business portfolio includes 26 hotel development projects, many of which have attracted potential investors who are already assessing them.

Cuba offers 62,700 hotel rooms, as well as three cruise terminals, seven international marinas and ten international airports.
