Natural Museums in Central Cuba |

Havana.- The central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus is carrying out a project to create natural museums at the Caguanes National Park, which is part of the Bahía de Buenavista Biosphere Reserve.
According to experts from the Environmental Services Center, the caves of Caguanes have the characteristics necessary to become natural museums in Cuba, due to their archeological, paleontological and speleological values.
In that regards, the site has rare and attractive underground galleries that are practical classrooms for students from universities and other specialized educational centers in Cuba.
In addition, there are places of historic-cultural importance due to the presence of aboriginal archeological elements and karts heights like the small "mogotes" (round-top hills) in the middle of the bay.
Such an initiative will allow promoting the cultural, natural and historic values of the province and generate the economic resources necessary to guarantee their preservation.
