Havana.- Cuba's healthcare system will have a new pregnancy diagnostic kit, which will be commercialized under the brand HeberFast Linea MaternitiTest II.
The product will be available in the network of pharmacies and was developed by the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center (CIGB) in central Sancti Spiritus province.
Therefore, fertile women (aged 12 to 49 years) will have better access to a product whose level of accuracy is over 99 percent.
The result is obtained in ten minutes and the kit consists of an aluminum bag, reactive strip, drying bag for preservation and a prospect.
This method is used 72 hours after menstrual delay, taking into consideration the amount of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) that the woman's body releases when she is pregnant.
