Cuban Economy Promotes New Financial Services
Monday, August 31, 2015

Havana.- Cuba's banking system is promoting financial services aimed at boosting the development of the private sector to consolidate national economic activities.

In that regard, own-account workers have access to their bank accounts without being present at the commercial offices.

Banco Popular de Ahorro activated the remote bank modality, an electronic application that was previously offered to juridical individuals only.

The new product allows economic players to transfer funds, receive information on their current accounts and learn about their last ten movements.

That way, private workers can operate their bank accounts through a website that they can access from anywhere in Cuba.
