Cuba's Citrus Production Increases |

Havana.- Cuba's agricultural sector is working to recover citrus crops with cooperation with European countries.
In the case of eastern Ciego de Avila province, the financial support from European countries allowed recovering 80 hectares of orange crops.
The initiative is being carried out in areas where orange plants had to be demolished due to an epidemic that affected Cuban citrus.
The agri-ecological project supplied producers with tools to improve efficiency and the quality of crops, as well as to solve the shortage of agricultural inputs.
Therefore, producers use compost and worm humus as fertilizers, in addition to using organic materials when planning citrus, fruits and other crops.
