Forestry Products in Cuba's Economy |

Havana.- Forestry products are present in Cuba's export portfolio, with revenues of nearly 24 million dollars over the past ten years.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture, Cuba's major forestry exports are charcoal, pine resin, seeds and timber.
The revenues earned are used to improve working conditions and increasing the sector's industrial capacities.
Cuba's reforestation policy allows for the systematic renovation of the areas in exploitation and the sustainability of forestry resources.
According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Cuba is one of few countries in the world that expands its forest surface every year.
