Havana.- Cuban movie-theaters are ready for the XXXVII International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.
According to organizers, 159 films will be displayed in the competitive sections, along with 444 works from the continent and elsewhere.
In that sense, the contest holds 23 feature films, 22 medium and short films, 21 debut films, 36 documentaries, 33 animated pictures and 24 unpublished scripts, plus 24 posters.
Among the international guests are British actress Geraldine Chaplin, filmmaker and writer Miguel Littín (Chile), American actor Ethan Hawke and Italian screenwriter and director Marco Bellocchio.
Meanwhile, the section Elsewhere includes in this occasion Spanish and German cinema, contemporary international panorama films and documentaries from HBO channel.
