Crafts Forum in Eastern Cuba |

Havana.- The province of Camagüey, in the eastern part of the island, welcomes the activities of the 500+ Art Craft Fair, aimed at promoting the works of artists of the territory.
According to organizers, the event will bring together art forms such as ceramics, goldsmiths and costume jewelry, textiles, footwear and leather pieces.
The event, sponsored by the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets, encourages the exchange between artists from different branches of that entity in Cuba.
New features include demonstrations of jewelry, textile artists from Cienfuegos, and a utilitarian pottery project to beautify the home.
This initiative began in 2014 as part of the celebrations for the half millennium of the founding of the town of Santa María del Puerto del Principe, today Camagüey.
