Cubans Present in the Japanese Baseball
Monday, April 25, 2016

Havana.- Cuba Adolis Jose Garcia, player of Ciego de Avila baseball team, will join the squad of the Yomiuri Giants in Japan.

Garcia signed an agreement of inclusion in the next few weeks to the second tier of the most famous Japanese professional baseball franchise (NPB).

Cuban intent is to ascend to the main team of the Giants, winner of 36 titles in the Central League and 22 Series in the Asian nation.

Japanese team’s managers indicated that Garcia was chosen by its evaluators for his throwing arm strength and velocity in the path of bases.

Thus, he joins the right-handed pitcher Hector Mendoza (Isla de la Juventud), who is in Tokyo, also in the second division franchise.
