Monday, June 27, 2016

Havana.- The Museum of the Spanish-Cuban-American War, the only one of its kind on the Caribbean island, has accumulated experience after nearly two decades in promoting community culture.

Located in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba, the center promotes research through systematic proposals such as Museum, history and memory and History´s Portal.

The institution reports the event of war which involved three countries and ended on July 3rd, 1898 with the naval battle that sank the Spanish fleet of Admiral Pascual Cervera.

Participants can witness maps, photographs, guns, weapons, media, property, boats and a model that indicates the main stages of the war.

On the coast of the territory is also located the Archaeological Park of the Cultural Heritage and Natural Underwater Naval Battle, declared a National Monument.
