Renewable Energy Use Encouraged in Cienfuegos |

Havana.- The province of Cienfuegos, in the central area of the island, encourages the use of renewable energy to harness the potential of the territory.
In this direction, the first phase based on the synchronization of the third solar park to the national energy system was completed in, with a contribution of 1.2 megawatts / hour.
Industry executives added that the facility, located in the municipality of Palmira, must complete its start-up for the month of August.
The photovoltaic park with a total potential of 3.6 megawatts / hour, is the highest capacity built in the province.
Additional work is being done on the foundation of a fourth plant of that type, which will furnish 2.4 megawatts once the installation and activation is complete.
