Cuba Evaluates Business in Light Industry
Monday, June 27, 2016

Havana.- Cuba evaluates various business options in light industry, in order to take advantage of the facilities offered by foreign investment.

The proposals include joint operations in the production of footwear, disposable diapers and textiles, among other areas of interest.

In this direction is the possibility of forming a joint venture between the Chinese Consortium Grace and national footwear company for a plant that would provide six million pairs per year.

The initial investment is estimated at around 10 million US dollars, and allows it to offer sports shoes and clothing for children, youngsters and adults, including women.

Attached thereto, are contacts with the Italian firm Moroni to manufacture diapers, in addition to exchange with other foreign companies to develop swimwear, underwear and uniforms.
