Cuba Encourages International Health Cooperation
Monday, July 25, 2016

Havana.- Cuba keeps some 48,000 health professionals in 67 countries as part of international cooperation that the island promotes.

Cuba intervened on all continents with concrete contributions in clinical and educational collaboration, in addition to supporting the training of human resources in each nation.

From 1960 to date, nearly 135,000 employees of the island led welfare and health to millions of inhabitants in 108 countries.

The actions include the promotion of health and disease prevention, vaccination campaigns, the sanitary-epidemiological control and medical care.

Cuba also cooperates with the International Leaders for Pan American Health Program and the World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO), with the participation of medical brigades and the preparation of the International Cooperation Module.
