Cuban Exports of Charcoal Grow
Monday, August 22, 2016

Havana.- The Communal Services of Ciego de Avila company accumulated in the first half of 2016 3,159 tons of charcoal destined for export.

Forecasts for the full year marketing point to about 4,000 tons, a volume equivalent to 201 containers that will be shipped through the ports of Mariel and Santiago de Cuba.

Coal is obtained from Marabou, a plant that provides good fuel heating value and consistency.

These properties ensure a longer period of combustion with a blue flame that causes little smoke and ash, features that explain their preference in the market.

Usually, the production of that item by the local company faces a specific program, taking into account the growing market demand.
