Cuba Ends Eight in Women's Baseball World Championship
Monday, September 19, 2016

Havana.- Cuban women baseball team finished in the eighth position in the world championship of that discipline, based in the South Korean city of Gijang.

According to experts, with this result the island matched its best location in these competitions, achieved in Edmonton, Canada, in 2012.

With seven races, Yordanka Rodriguez was the pushing leader of the Caribbean team, followed by Captain Dayana Batista and Gonzalez, those with four per capita.

Meanwhile, the Cuban trod the home base 30 times and their pitchers, led by Yadira Boffil, were hit on 35 occasions.

Australia and South Korea finished fifth and sixth in that order, and after the United States (seventh) and Cuba, Netherlands, Hong Kong, India and Pakistan were included.
