Cuba Host Specialized Forum on Zika |

Havana.- Cuba will host in late October a regional forum aimed at coordinating actions to address the scourge of zika.
The event, sponsored by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), will be attended by experts from the American continent and European researchers.
According to experts, the meeting in Havana's main objective is to take the first steps for the implementation of a regional strategy aimed at prevention and control.
That plan focuses its attention on strengthening health services, diagnostic capabilities and integrated vector control and the establishment of the laboratory network.
The event program foresees visits to health institutions, where participants can see elements of the Cuban strategy in dealing with the multiple arboviruses.
