Winery Recovered in the Island´s West |

Havana.- La Sucursal winery, founded in 1889 in the western Cuban province of Matanzas, is benefiting from an extensive rehabilitation program to have its original image restored.
In that sense, the placement of counting boxes, coffee grinders, and shelves decorated with neoclassical motifs and other typical elements of ancient native wineries are expected.
This is considered among the oldest preserved in the city and its recovery could provide a similar experience to arrange actions in the historic center.
The wineries of the past provide service even today although very transformed, experts informed.
The Office of the Conservator promotes initiatives to rehabilitate the historic center of Matanzas, including the restoration of the Plaza de La Vigia and the Sauto Theater.
